After working as an industrial designer for seven years, Mark Robertson decided he wanted to design and build furniture instead of doing strictly 3D product design on a computer. He took millwork and carpentry at NAIT, did an apprenticeship and opened Bellow Design in 2017. Mark feels that his skills in 3D design and modelling help set Bellows apart from most furniture makers because 3D renderings allow the customer and Mark to tweak and refine the design before building begins.
