Rubble Road’s kits are a great introduction to stone carving as an art form. The firm’s founders grew up in families with rock cutting, carving and lapidary backgrounds. Initially the team cut animal shapes out of soapstone and took them to Edmonton public schools. So many parents and siblings wanted to try the soapstone shapes that Rubble Road began making them into kits and selling them at craft shows, gift shops and museums.
