Rebecca Grant, owner and chocolatier, started the Violet Chocolate Company in 2012 when the chocolate shop she was working for decided to close. She was already trained as a red seal chef and when she decided to start her own business she went back to NAIT's School of Business for entrepreneurship management and marketing programs. Violet Chocolate Company has a studio in south Edmonton for production and sells directly at farmers markets, and through a number of local businesses.
