Designer Michelle Dall’Acqua breathes new life into musical castoffs.
Made of an assortment of metals, guitar strings cannot be recycled through traditional means when they wear out or break. Working in collaboration with local music stores, Dall'Acqua transforms coils of tarnished wire into pieces of fine, eco-conscious jewelry.
Simple, elegant and timeless, at the heart of each piece is a deep appreciation for music and its power to transform lives.
"People's joy, angst and sorrow have been played through these strings," says Dall'Acqua, who also takes commissions for heirloom and commemorative pieces from a loved one's strings.
