Gifted 2019/2020: Geopowr is a boardgame inspired by energy debates

A Tetris-like pattern of yellow, purple and blue spreads across the table as Michael Overduin and Marcella Erskine take turns laying tiles with different energy sources on them. The goal: to create a diversified and secure power supply for each continent.

The self-published, pattern-recognition game was inspired by the couple’s love of board games and the passionate energy debates they’ve witnessed since relocating to Edmonton from the U.K. four years ago.
