If you’re anything like us (obsessed with local business and the smell of freshly printed catalogues) then you’re dying to know who’s in Gifted 2019/2020. Don’t worry, we won’t make you wait until September to find out. Here’s the skinny on the selection so far:

On May 10, our selection panel, made up of community leaders and members of the business and design community, in collaboration with Edmonton Made, narrowed down 357 submissions to a list of 107 products from 86 different businesses and makers.

Designed to make shopping local easy for locals, tourists and businesses, Gifted brings together the best the city has to offer in both a beautifully designed print catalogue and a convenient online shopping experience.

This year we’re proud to announce that nearly half of the businesses featured are new to the catalogue!

“We’re consistently impressed by the quality and creativity of Edmonton entrepreneurs,” Laura Masyk, Edmonton Made program manager said. “The community continues to submit so many quality products for us to consider. And though it was hard to narrow down the submissions, we’re really excited about this year’s selection.”

Now it’s your turn to contribute. Back by popular demand, our social media cover contest starts today (Friday, May 17). Support your favourite product by liking the corresponding photo in our Facebook album. The contest closes on Friday, May 24 at 4 p.m.

To everyone who submitted to Gifted, we want to give a huge thank you. Your creativity is what makes our city so unique.

And now, for the big reveal… The third edition of Gifted will feature products from:

Apparel & Accessories

Artwork

Bath & Body

Food & Beverage

Furniture & Home

Jewelry

Notebooks & Stationery

Pet

Toys & Hobbies

Check out this year's cover contest products. And don't forget to vote for your favourite on our Facebook page! - Contest is now closed. Congratulations Prairie Chick Prints for their Edmonton Pencils winning the Cover Contest!
