Sabrina Siponen mixes eastern concepts with clean lines to create purposeful pieces of wearable art

Saraswati

A tiny four-armed statuette watches as Sabrina Siponen methodically pinches and twists delicate pieces of gold. The Hindu goddess of knowledge and the arts, Saraswati is Siponen’s muse and has a hand in all her creations.

Of African and Indian descent, the teacher-turned-jewelry designer mixes eastern concepts with clean lines to create purposeful pieces of wearable art. “The intention is to create treasured pieces that resonate with the spirit,” she says.
